God's Exit Plan included this Opposition

Just a few years ago, gospel singer Sinach had a hit song "I Know Who I Am", I mean it had to be a hit because everywhere I went, whether I wanted to hear it or not, it was there. And I remember asking, do people know who they really are, or are they just singing it because it sounds good?

Sinach started the song by saying "We are a chosen generation, we are called forth to show His excellence, what I required for life God has given me, and I know who I am. I know who God says I am, what He says I am, where He says I'm at, I know who I am."

It's all good, you singing and dancing, and praising God, but the question still stands, do you know who you are, do you know what you are saying when you are singing those lyrics? How many were singing that song while their identity was really being tested? When the knowledge of who you are was really being challenged? Sunday mornings in the church are a big party in the presence of God singing, shouting, dancing, screaming, crying, stomping, jumping, and running in the company of other saints, and the presence of God. Celebrating the goodness of God, and the survival of yet another week, but, what happens on Monday, when all hell seems to break loose, in every corner of your life, are you still singing "I know who I am"?

In John 16:33, Jesus said "In this world, we will have trials and tribulations, but do not worry because He has overcome the world. " But what happens when we are faced with trials and tribulations? Many of us blame the devil and curse him, like we are the defeated ones, completely forgetting that we were just singing that we know who we are. I believe that is because we get distracted by the challenge but not on the champion. Focusing on the obstacle we are giving power to fear instead of faith.

You have been praying and asking God for something, to come out of something, and His answer to you was yes, you had that mustard seed size faith, and it was all good at the time. It was all good, until you encountered a roadblock, and you don't see any other way around, under or over it. Now, it's just you on the road facing this block that is stopping you from making the exit that God has promised you. Sinach is not there, but say if she was there, what do you think she'd say? Seeing you there, with your eyes fixed on the problem, instead of the problem solver?

And the enemy in a chuckle asks, do you still know who you are? I mean you've been singing it so much, where's that energy now? I watched and listened to you sing and dance your little heart out, and I said, just look at her, she's singing, shouting, and dancing now, but watch this. Bam! there's a block in the road, completely blocking your exit. I knew all that singing, and dancing would stop. Just goes to show, that you now know who you really are. That is nothing more than a mere human being, powerless against the god of this world,

He's right, BUT! In the whispers of the wind, you hear..." waymaker, miracle worker, promise keeper, light in the darkness, my God, that is who You are." and it calls to your attention, that everything around you seems to be frozen still, and it gets a little louder..."Waymaker, Miracle Worker, Promise Keeper, Light in the Darkness, My God, THAT IS WHO YOU ARE!" And you join, Sinach in a harmony of worship, humbled by the I AM, as His Spirit engulfs you, and beckons you to stay still, and witness the POWER of the almighty God.

You see what you did not know is, that block, was included in God's exit plan, He knew that that block was going to be there. You didn't know, but He did and He had a plan for that block. He allowed that block to show you just how powerful He is, and how unstoppable you are when He is fighting for you. Don't get distracted by the obstacles, the challenges, and the fight as you are on your way out, that's what the enemy wants, you distracted. Distraction gives you the appetite for discouragement, defeat, disengagement, and fear, which weakens your faith and your will to fight through which you'll gain victory.

God included that block into his exit plan for you, don't lose heart, it may have taken you by surprise but God already had it worked out. It may upset you because maybe who is blocking, the block itself, and the timing of the block, but God, just remember that, but God, be blessed.
